SpeciesBanking.com

The Economist has an interesting article on SpeciesBanking.com. The first place for information about "mitigation" as a mechanism to successfully conserve species SOMEWHERE.

I think its a cool conecept a la trading CO2 trading offset credits that can allow imposing market discipline on to species preservation.

Sure we'd like to save all species everywhere, but people matter too, so I think its a well motivated effort to "make it happen" and I'm happy to see it.

Now for people to accept that natural resources and waste need to be fully integrated into the economy!

On a side note they also have a cool chart this week about computers per person. In the USA computers are almost like telephones now!
